WELCOME!
Cape Cod Fencers Club welcomes fencers of all ages and levels—from first-timers to seasoned athletes. At Cape Cod Fencers Club, there is a strong emphasis on foundational skill development, fitness, and strategy within a supportive, team-focused environment. While fencing is an individual sport, strong bonds among teammates and families create a positive community where everyone is encouraged to grow. Challenging both body and mind, fencing is a thrilling and rewarding sport—and there’s no better time to get started.
Why try fencing?
Fencing is a dynamic, fast-paced sport practiced around the world by athletes of all ages and skill levels. It blends athleticism, strategy, and precision, developing agility, focus, and quick decision-making while challenging both body and mind. The sport features three disciplines—foil, sabre, and épée—each with its own rules, techniques, and style, offering something for every personality.
Fencing can be enjoyed purely for recreation (yes, you can absolutely live out your Princess Bride dreams), or pursued at a competitive level for those looking to train, compete, and grow as athletes.
If you want it shorter, more playful, or more formal, I can tweak it in seconds.

Meet Meredith
Meredith has been an active member fencing community, both as a competitor and a coach for the past three decades. She started fencing foil at 11 years old at Tanner City Fencers Club in Peabody, Massachusetts. Over the years Meredith has been coached by world class foil and saber coaches Joe Pechinsky, Jim Carter, Emik Kaidanov, Jane Carter and Molly Sulllivan Sliney. She fenced throughout high school and continued to fence for The Penn State University.
She says, “Coaching and competing bring me immense joy, and I believe my experience as both a coach and competitor helps me to connect with fencers in a unique and impactful way.” She continues, “My philosophy is simple: work hard, listen, and have fun.”
